Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Ulinzi blanked Trans Nzoia 37-24 in a Kenya Handball Federation League clash at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The unbeaten soldiers continued their push to the top of the table. They got off to a bright start with an 18-12 advantage at the breather.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are talking one game at a time. So far so good. I am happy with what my players are doing,\u201d said Ulinzi coach Nickson Oyaro.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still have the top four teams to play and our focus is not to lose any game. We will have to work hard.<\/p>\n

Gideon Kiprotich and Kevin Imo nailed nine goals each for Ullinzi. The losers had eight from Ibrahim Ndege and five from Collins Simiyu.<\/p>\n

Kevin Wasike, the losers\u2019 key player noted: \u201cIt was a tough game against an experienced team. We played in the morning and twice yesterday (Saturday). We were tired but gave our best.\u201d<\/p>\n

General Service Unit (GSU) hammered Rangers 38-24 and Christopher Mayiende shot eight goals and Paul Ondara added six.<\/p>\n

On-form Yusuf Pwoka pepped the Bungoma-based side with a game-high 12 goals. They trailed 16-15.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe played well. We don\u2019t want to lose any ground from now on. We are going for wins in all our remaining games,\u201d said GSU coach Joseph Okemwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoal difference will be key in separating the top four teams. We must go for goals in our remaining games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trans Nzoia came from a goal down at halftime to hit the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 29-25.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim Ndege shot seven goals and Colins Simiyu had five. Oliver Valentine sunk seven while Nelson Malumba and Julius Nga\u2019ng\u2019a had five each.<\/p>\n

Rangers won 39-35 against Daystar University as Belinda Mulongo shot eight and Rahab Nanjala added seven. Esther Nangami scored nine goals for the students and Elizabeth Belidonner had seven.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made a lot of mistakes. We were not composed and our defence didn\u2019t work. So much punishment today,\u201d said Daystar coach Martin Kamau.<\/p>\n

Equity Bank had 11 goals from Radzy Stower in a 37-24 win over Trans Nzoia. The Kitale side pipped Desert Scorpions 28-27 in another tie.<\/p>\n

Ulinzi beat Rangers 35-23 propped by Gideon Kiprotich\u2019s eight goals. Randy Ochieng grabbed 16 goals but didn\u2019t stop the Buccaneers from falling 32-29 to the Rangers.<\/p>\n

Rangers\u2019 women\u2019s side lost 28-20 to the National Cereals and Produce Board but beat Amazon 24-22 in a close encounter.<\/p>\n
