Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Jubilee Health Insurance has announced the revamping of its health insurance policy to cater for households whose income has come under increased pressure.<\/p>\n

In the new plan, the insurer is eyeing door-to-door care and tapping technology for its members in a bid to ease the hospitals for critically ill patients.<\/p>\n

Jubilee Insurance Group CEO Julius Kipng\u2019etich, says the healthcare consumer, already overwhelmed by daily obligations, is increasingly seeking personalised care options that provide the right medical services with ease and convenience.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year you saw at least 15 per cent of your income was wiped out by taxes, this year it is likely to go up. So the household budget is going to be under increased pressure and employers are not able to increase at the same rate,\u201d said Kipng\u2019etich.<\/p>\n

\u201cJubilee Health is now reviewing its operations so that we can give customers better value propositions,\u201d added the Group CEO.<\/p>\n

The new programme dubbed “Always With You” will be available to all Jubilee Health customers, covering a wide range of services including scheduled doctor consultations, pharmacy teleconsultations, drug delivery as well as ambulance and evacuation services.<\/p>\n

According to Jubilee Health Insurance CEO Njeri Jomo, this initiative will allow customers to visit their local pharmacy branch for a teleconsultation with a doctor, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need without added hassle.<\/p>\n

The initiative will also provide home-based care coordination for families that require continuous care from dedicated healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are many touchpoints when it comes to accessing care, from consulting with a doctor to managing aftercare services. This process can sometimes be daunting for many individuals. This is why Jubilee Health Insurance continues to innovate around how customers access care,\u201d said Njeri.<\/p>\n

Through the programme, customers will have access to a Care Navigation Programme to assist them as they navigate healthcare access.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur partnership with Jubilee Health Insurance will enable us offer enhanced home-based care services, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible medical attention in the comfort of their homes,\u201d said Marketing and Business Development Director at Aga Khan University Hospital, Pauline Ngatia.<\/p>\n
