President William Ruto has arrived in Seoul, South Korea for the Korea-Africa Summit.<\/p>\n

The President was accompanied by the First Lady Rachel Ruto among other dignitaries.<\/p>\n

The Head of State was received by the former Korean Ambassador to Seychelles and currently the State Representative for Reconstruction Efforts in Ukraine Ambassador Kang Seok-hee.<\/p>\n

Kenyan Ambassador to South Korea Emmy Kipsoi was also present.<\/p>\n

The summit aims to build strong relations between South Korea and Africa, leveraging each other’s strengths to foster mutual growth, tackle global challenges, and reinforce solidarity for peace and security.<\/p>\n

The President will hold bilateral talks with President Yoon Suk Yeol aimed at escalating areas of cooperation.<\/p>\n

In a statement on Sunday evening, State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed said at the summit, that Africa and South Korea will discuss areas of mutual interest, including trade promotion, industrialisation, infrastructure development, and job creation.<\/p>\n

The partnership focuses on key projects including water and irrigation, agriculture, infrastructure, and the creative economy.<\/p>\n
