Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has hailed ODM leader Raila Odinga for agreeing to be part of the government of national unity and urging Kenyans to embrace dialogue.<\/p>\n

In a message posted on X after a meeting with Raila at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi on Monday, Kuria \u201cthanked Baba for bending backwards- yet again- to save the country from self-destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were unanimous that going forward we cannot continue to prescribe Panadol where surgery is required,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Kuria added that the upcoming process of national dialogue \u201cmust and will\u201d culminate in deliberate structural reform for a lasting solution.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will work very, very closely in that endeavour as we continue to consult with other like-minded leaders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Raila has continued with his calls for what he calls a constructive national dialogue saying it is the right thing to do to resolve the problems facing the nation.<\/p>\n

The ODM leader gave a nod to the new government formation that has four members nominated to the Cabinet.<\/p>\n

The president has nominated ODM’s two deputy party leaders (Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya), the party’s chairman John Mbadi and National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi to his Cabinet.<\/p>\n

President William Ruto on his part has been reiterating his intent to form a government of national unity that will bring all Kenyans together.<\/p>\n

He has admitted that the protests by the youth that have rocked the country in the past month are a wake-up call that the days of parochial politics were over.<\/p>\n

Ruto has urged his critics and all Kenyans to embrace his idea of a government of national unity.<\/p>\n
