Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua now says that President William Ruto’s nomination of a fresh Cabinet was just a diversionary tactic.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Tuesday, Karua said what President Ruto has done is more of the same even with the changes in Cabinet.<\/p>\n

She went on to say that the vetting of Cabinet Secretary nominees was another circus.<\/p>\n

Karua insisted that the Ruto regime is deaf to what Kenyans want.<\/p>\n

“The Cabinet nominations are a diversionary tactic. Ruto got the message that the people want him to go, a fresh start. He then goes ahead to nominate Cabinet and the vetting becomes a circus in parliament,” Karua said on Citizen TV.<\/p>\n

“The message is that this is more of the same, nothing has changed, nothing will change and the regime is tone deaf to the demands of Kenyans as fronted by the Gen Zs.”<\/p>\n

After President Ruto included members of Opposition party ODM in his Cabinet, a section of social media users said that Karua would be a good fit for Attorney General having served as Justice Minister under former President Mwai Kibaki. She is also a lawyer.<\/p>\n

Karua in response said she was not interested in the job.<\/p>\n

The Narc Kenya leader has maintained a hard-line stance over the prospects of joining the Kenya Kwanza government.<\/p>\n

She has been among a group of Kenyans who have been calling for the exit of Kenya’s Kwanza government for failing to meet the expectations of the people.<\/p>\n

The veteran politician remains an ardent critic of President William Ruto’s administration.<\/p>\n
