I will engage President Uhuru and together work towards finding a lasting solution facing the locals in the region, particularly on issues touching on land and titling,\u201d Gideon said.\u00a0The delegation was led by former Bungoma County Assembly Deputy Speaker Simiyu Wamusai, ward representatives Joram Wanjala (Bukembe East), Anthony Luseneka (Bukembe West) and Elvis Abuka (Milima).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Development issues<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This comes just a few days after the senator hosted members of the county assembly from Nakuru County to discuss various development issues.\u00a0\u00a0Gideon, a key player in President Uhuru Kenyatta&#8217;s succession, insisted on unity among Kenyans saying it was through unity that the country would achieve progress and its development agenda.<\/p>\n<p>On issues raised by the delegation about lack of land title deeds, the Kanu chairman promised to reach out to President Kenyatta and present their grievances.\u00a0The leaders hailed the meeting saying it would enhance friendship between the people of Bungoma, Trans Nzoia and the Rift Valley region and ensure peaceful co-existence.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-group readmore my-3\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wamusai, who spoke after the meeting, said having realised the direction Kenyan politics is taking, they decided to meet the senator to discuss the way forward.\u00a0The Siboti MCA said they were willing to support Gideon should he declare his presidential ambition come 2022, noting he had demonstrated true leadership through humility and need to unite Kenyans.<\/p>\n<p>Julius Bushendich, former Endebes councillor, said they decided to meet the senator to express their support to his political ambition.\u00a0He urged the senator to visit Trans Nzoia and complete what the late retired President Daniel arap Moi initiated.\u00a0The senator has been meeting leaders from across the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Western leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He recently met Western Kenya leaders, among them ODM deputy party leader Wycliffe Oparanya, Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Majority Whip Emmanuel Wangwe and a delegation of youth from Kajiado led by Senator Philip Mpaayei.\u00a0Gideon has also hosted Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegation from Kisii and Nyamira counties led by party leader Omingo Magara at Kabarnet Gardens in Nairobi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AfricaPress-Kenya: Baringo Senator Gideon Moi continues to build his political network with leaders from across the country.
