Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong> <\/span>Kenya has raised retail fuel prices by up to 23.5%, following a 24.2% increase last month, amid declining global crude oil supplies and rising energy prices due to the war in Iran.<\/p>\n

In its statement, the regulatory authority responsible for setting monthly fuel prices indicated that the price of a liter of gasoline will reach 214.25 Kenyan shillings (1.66 USD), up from 206.97 shillings.<\/p>\n

The price of a liter of diesel will be 242.92 Kenyan shillings, up from 196.63 shillings, while the price of kerosene will remain unchanged at 152.78 shillings during the period from May 15 to June 14, when new prices will be announced.<\/p>\n

It is noted that Kenya imports most of its fuel needs from the Middle East through government agreements with suppliers in the Gulf.<\/p>\n
