He added the recall was not mandatory but was a \u201cvoluntary service measure\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen had to postpone the launch of the Golf 8 due to software problems last year.<\/p>\n<p>Its shares were down 1.6 per cent, making it the biggest percentage loser in Germany\u2019s blue-chip index DAX.
