{"id":21690,"date":"2021-01-29T21:04:52","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T21:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\/?p=21690"},"modified":"2021-01-29T21:04:52","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T21:04:52","slug":"inaugural-fkf-womens-cup-to-kick-off-on-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\/sport\/inaugural-fkf-womens-cup-to-kick-off-on-saturday","title":{"rendered":"Inaugural FKF Women\u2019s Cup to kick off on Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>AfricaPress-Kenya:<\/strong> The first edition of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women\u2019s Cup\u00a0will kick off on Saturday in different venues across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The federation introduced the knockout event with an eye of improving the level of competition in women\u2019s football, a move which majority of coaches from the FKF Women\u2019s premier League have backed.<\/p>\n<p>Kisumu All Starlets head coach Said Jumah welcomed the move saying it will improve the competitiveness of women football.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a new dawn for women&#8217;s football.
