AfricaPress-Kenya:<\/strong> 1,184 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19, out of a sample size of 7,139 tested in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 16.5%.<\/p>\n

The total number of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases now stands at 138,077 while the cumulative tests conducted so far are 1,511, 592.<\/p>\n

Of the cases announced today, 1,146 are Kenyans while 38 are foreigners while 601 are male and 583 are female. The youngest is a one-year-old-baby while the oldest is 98.<\/p>\n

Regrettably , 20 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours 2 of them having occurred in the last 24 hours, 14 in the last one month while 4 are late death reports from facility record audits that occurred on diverse dates. This now pushes our cumulative fatalities to 2,206.<\/p>\n

At the same time, \u00a0220 patients have recovered from the disease , 177 from the Home Based and Isolation Care , while 43 are from various health facilities.<\/p>\n

The total recoveries number of now stands at 93,650.<\/p>\n

Currently, 1,582 patients are\u00a0admitted in various health facilities countrywide while 5,376 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.<\/p>\n

187 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ), 43 of whom are on ventilatory support and 111 on supplemental oxygen. 33 patients are on observation.<\/p>\n

Another 247 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 234 of them in the general wards and 13 in
\nthe High Dependency Unit ( HDU ) .<\/p>\n

The cases are distributed in Counties as follows ; Nairobi 613, Kiambu 92, Nyeri 59, Kericho 47, Uasin Gishu 38, Machakos 37, Meru 33, Kajiado 28 , Nakuru 26, Nyamira 26, Nyandarua 23, Kilifi 23, Taita Taveta 19, Kakamega 17, Laikipia 16, Kirinyaga 12, Bomet 11, Bungoma 11, Mombasa 8, Murang’a 8, Busia 5, Kitui 5 , Homa Bay 5, Vihiga 4, Kisumu 3, Kwale 2, Makueni 2, Mandera 2, Migori 2, Marsabit 1, Nandi 1, Garissa 1, Narok 1 and Isiolo 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
