Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Update Tuesday, June 1: A man attempted to make his way towards the main pavilion at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Kisumu as President Uhuru Kenyatta made his speech.<\/b><\/p>\n

The young man was quickly nabbed by the presidential guards who pinned him to the ground and immobilised him before the head of state intervened.<\/b><\/p>\n

Uhuru stopped his speech and instructed his security guards to let him go.<\/b><\/p>\n

A Kenya Navy Officer collapsed during the Madaraka Day Celebration being held at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu on Tuesday, June 1.<\/p>\n

The officer was part of the line-up that comprised of Kenya Navy Officers, Air Force and Kenya Defence Forces.<\/p>\n

In the image, two individuals are seen assisting the ailing soldier. They support him on both sides as they escort him to the ambulance to receive medical treatment.<\/p>\n

Usually, the officers in the line-up grace the occasion by marching in a tactful manner.<\/p>\n

After President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at the venue, he inspected the line-up. The Kenya Air Force showed their prowess by flying the aircraft.<\/p>\n

The Kenya Navy Officers are mandated with the task of protecting the state from the external threat from the sea.<\/p>\n

At around 10 AM, the stadium was packed with invited guests and leaders.<\/p>\n

Among them was Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye, Deputy President William Ruto, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.<\/p>\n

Upon his arrival, Ndayishimiye was received by Ruto.<\/p>\n

The Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Kisumu is the 5th stadium to host the Madaraka Day Celebration in the country.<\/p>\n

The newly constructed stadium cost Ksh498 Million to construct.<\/p>\n
