Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced vacancies with jobs offering over Ksh85,000 salaries inclusive of multiple allowances.<\/p>\n

NYS in a notice dated Friday, June 11, stated that it had 30 open vacancies in different sectors, from Economy, Health to Education.<\/p>\n

All the jobs offered are on a three-year renewable contract based on performance. The deadline for sending in applications was indicated as not later than Friday, July 9.<\/p>\n

1. Economist\/Statistician – 2 Posts<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh38,720 to Ksh51,170 pm<\/p>\n

Allowances<\/p>\n

House – Ksh16,500 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh5,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh6,000 pa<\/p>\n

Duties & Qualifications<\/p>\n

Providing economic planning data; economic analysis and formulation of development strategies<\/p>\n

Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Economics, or Economics and Mathematics or Upper Second-Class Honors in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Survey Techniques.<\/p>\n

2. Senior Inspector (Mechanical – Motor Vehicle and Plant) – 3 posts<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh31,270 to Ksh41,260 pm<\/p>\n

House – Ksh10,000 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh4,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh4,000 pa<\/p>\n

Duties & Qualifications<\/p>\n

In charge of the repair of motor vehicle and plant machinery<\/p>\n

Testing of vehicles and equipment before and after repair<\/p>\n

Conducting proficiency test for drivers<\/p>\n

Higher Diploma (Automotive) or other approved equivalent qualification.<\/p>\n

Driving License<\/p>\n

3. Senior Inspector (Building) – 1 post<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh31,270 to Ksh41,260 pm<\/p>\n

Allowances<\/p>\n

House – Ksh10,000 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh6,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh4,000 pa<\/p>\n

Duties & Qualifications<\/p>\n

Clerk of work for building under construction<\/p>\n

Assisting in the planning of supervision pf programs for a number of buildings<\/p>\n

Higher Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering or its equivalent.<\/p>\n

Certificate in Computer Application<\/p>\n

4. Senior Inspector (Roads) – 1 post<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh31,270 to Ksh41,260 pm<\/p>\n

Allowances<\/p>\n

House – Ksh10,000 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh6,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh4,000 pa<\/p>\n

Duties & Qualifications<\/p>\n

Supervision of all road construction and maintenance works<\/p>\n

Preparation of work programs for all camps<\/p>\n

Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering<\/p>\n

Certificate in Computer Application<\/p>\n

5. Lecturer, Early Childhood Development Education – ECDE – 5 posts<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh31,270 to Ksh41,260 pm<\/p>\n

House – Ksh10,000 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh6,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh 4,000 pm<\/p>\n

Responsible for sale custody of records and assets under him\/her<\/p>\n

Bachelor degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option)<\/p>\n

Certified Public Accountants (CPA) certificate<\/p>\n

8. Registered Nurse – 3 posts<\/p>\n

Salary – Ksh25,470 to Ksh33,950 pm<\/p>\n

Allowances<\/p>\n

House – Ksh10,000 pm<\/p>\n

Commuter – Ksh6,000 pm<\/p>\n

Leave – Ksh4,000 pa<\/p>\n

Extraneous – Ksh20,000 pm<\/p>\n

Risk – Ksh3,850 pm<\/p>\n

Health workers – Ksh15,000 pm<\/p>\n

Uniform- Ksh10,000 pa<\/p>\n

Duties & Qualifications<\/p>\n

Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient’s outcome<\/p>\n

Providing appropriate healthcare services<\/p>\n

Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing\/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing\/Mental Health and Psychiatry<\/p>\n

Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya<\/p>\n

Valid practising license from Nursing Council of Kenya<\/p>\n

Certificate in computer application<\/p>\n
