Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Ngong OCS, Philip Olenkindi, was ambushed and shot by four suspected robbers during a night operation near Ngong Town.<\/p>\n

A police report filed at Ngong Police Station detailed that the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 15, at around 11 pm.<\/p>\n

Olenkindi incurred injuries on his shoulder and was rushed to the Nairobi West Hospital where he was admitted and placed under observation.<\/p>\n

“It was established that the OCS had been shot on the right shoulder and the bullet exited the back,\u201d an excerpt of the report read.<\/p>\n

The OCS and three other police officers were patrolling around the Kahara area when they bumped into the armed men.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey encountered four suspicious men who were walking on foot towards Ngong Township.<\/p>\n

“The police officers alighted from the motor vehicle to inquire on where they were going but they started firing at them.<\/p>\n

A chase ensued between the other officers and the robbers who had by then fled towards Ngong Hills.<\/p>\n

However, the police were unable to nab their assailants, according to the report.<\/p>\n

An officer privy to the incident stated that they had launched investigations into the matter.<\/p>\n

Detectives detailed that they were waiting for a ballistic report as they traced the whereabouts of the armed men.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
