Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Government has announced that should the Huduma card be dispatched to a wrong location due to system error, corrective measures can be taken to address the issue, and National Registration Bureau (NRB) officers have been trained to assist with such occurrences.<\/p>\n

Government spokesperson, Mr Cyrus Oguna has announced that Kenyans will receive a message informing them where their Huduma Card will be dispatched to and that the location is the default information on one\u2019s ID card.<\/p>\n

The notification, however, has the provision to change the preferred pick-up location hence one can therefore change the stated location.<\/p>\n

The message will remain on the phone for 48 hours and then disappear. While the second message informs you where the Card has been dispatched for collection.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhase II registration is also set to start soon and all logistical preparations have been completed, and once rolled out, the exercise shall be carried out at National Registration Bureau (NRB) offices in the whole country,\u201d stated Oguna<\/p>\n

To improve the process of tracking the status of one\u2019s card, the government is also developing a user-friendly portal with all necessary information. The portal will allow everyone to check the stage that their Huduma Card has reached.<\/p>\n

Further, an Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) system is also being developed, this will help to assist callers with a variety of information on Huduma Namba.<\/p>\n

The government also wishes to remind Kenyans that the issuance of the Huduma Card is free. Nobody should be conned to giving out any money to anyone and any message purporting to be coming from the Government and asking the recipient for any money is fake and should be treated as so.<\/p>\n

Currently, the process of the distribution of the cards is still ongoing countrywide, and Cards that are ready for collection are being dispatched for collection at NRB offices or ID Offices at the local level.<\/p>\n

Kenyans are also urged to respond to notification messages once they receive them on their phones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
