Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Gold medalist Eliud Kipchoge keeps raising the Kenyan Flag while being featured in a new global campaign by Nike. The campaign has been graced the greatest sportsmen and women across the world.<\/p>\n

#PlayNew is a marketing campaign by Nike that seeks to encourage people to discover sports in new ways. What is the ideal way to promote the campaign other than having the world’s fastest marathoner on it?<\/p>\n

According to Melanie Auguste, VP for Nike, the campaign resonates with all human beings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason we are encouraging people to \u2018Play New,\u2019 is to celebrate that notion of getting back to the joy of discovering and trying something for the first time \u2014 the joy of letting loose a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The New Global campaign captures elite athletes like Dina Asher-Smith and award-winning artist Rosal\u00eda.<\/p>\n

It draws elite athletes, footballers, and other sportsmen from different continents, and Eliud Kipchoge is included in flying the Kenyan flag.<\/p>\n

In the just-concluded Tokyo Olympics, he maintained his G.O.A.T stature by becoming the third person in history to retain his Olympic title.<\/p>\n

Dubbed as the only man to run a marathon in under two hours, being involved in the New Global campaign amongst elite athletes is a sure way to place Kenya on the global map.<\/p>\n

\u201cWearing the Kenyan kit is a source of pride and commitment to collective greatness #PlayNew\u201d Kipchoge noted while sharing the new campaign.<\/p>\n

In the video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, a colleague describes Kipchoge as kind, soft-spoken, and ever-present when having a conversation with him.<\/p>\n

Another describes his lesson out of Kipchoge’s journey to winning the Ineos Marathon. He went on to quote his famous sentiments on conquering the mind.<\/p>\n

“My dad and I will be cheering you on whenever you run. He told me a true story explaining why Kenyans were so good at long-distance running when I was young and why he cheers Kenyan athletes as well as Team GB,” a fan noted.<\/p>\n

This is one of the many global endorsements Eliud Kipchoge continues to receive since his Ineos success.<\/p>\n
