Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano believes they have gathered sufficient ammunition to devour Djibouti’s Arta Solar 7 in the second leg of the Caf Champions League preliminary round tie set for Nyayo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

And despite coming up against a squad that boasts of world-class quality in former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song and former West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, Matano says he is not quacking in the boots ahead of the encounter.<\/p>\n

“The entire squad trained today. All players are in good condition save for Ibrahim Joshua, who received a knock in the first leg of the encounter. But he is picking up quite well,” Matano said after a training session on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

“With our full squad we can now plan well for the match and can easily decide who starts and who remains on the bench.”<\/p>\n

“Now we are at home and have already taken a good rest. The players are psyched up for the match and are looking to secure maximum points.”<\/p>\n

Matano insists his charges should have picked up a better scoreline when the sides flexed muscles in Djibouti last week, had jet lag not taken a big toll on their performance.<\/p>\n

“We could have played much better in Djibouti but we were tired after the long journey. Worst still, we only traveled with 19 players and therefore it was a little bit hectic coming up with a strong lineup.”<\/p>\n

Tusker skipper Eugene Asike said nothing will stop them from jutting out all their claws in the do-or-die tie.<\/p>\n

“We have had a good training week and we are looking forward to Saturday’s game. I believe it’s a good team. We are playing Solar as a team. We are not playing Alex Song or Diafra Sakho as individuals. We’ve been planning for the team, not any of their individual players,” said Asike.<\/p>\n

Asike believes they can pull off an impressive outcome after sizing up their opponents in the first clash a week ago.<\/p>\n

“I believe going into tomorrow’s game now that we’ve already played our opponents we now have our work cut out, we know how to approach the game much better.<\/p>\n

“We didn’t know much about our opponents when we played them in the first match but we picked up a few things that I believe will help us in Saturday’s match. We’re going out there with a positive attitude,” said Asike.<\/p>\n
