Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Cond\u00e9 Nast, a media company responsible for the production of the famous Vogue magazine, has appointed Vanessa Kingori to head the company\u2019s business department.<\/p>\n

In a statement dated September 27, 2021, Cond\u00e9 Nast announced the appointment of Kingori as the first Chief Business Officer (CBO) of the company\u2019s division in the United Kindom (UK).<\/p>\n

The company added that Kingori was appointed due to her vast experience in the media industry, having worked with the company\u2019s brands in the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cCond\u00e9 Nast today named Vanessa Kingori MBE as the Chief Business Officer, Cond\u00e9 Nast Britain, and Vogue European Business Advisor.<\/p>\n

“Kingori brings with her nearly 20 years experience in the media industry with a strong track record for digitalisation, business transformation, and change management across multiple brands,\u201d the statement read in part.<\/p>\n

In her new role, Kingori will head the commercial departments of the various fashion magazine brands.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs The Chief Business Officer, Cond\u00e9 Nast Britain, Kingori will lead the UK Commercial Teams across all Cond\u00e9 Nast brands including Vogue, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Tatler, Conde Nast Traveller, House & Garden, and The World of Interiors,\u201d the statement added<\/p>\n

She will also be responsible for leading client relationships in all the company brands located in the UK.<\/p>\n

Prior to her appointment, Kingori broke the company\u2019s history in 2017, to become the first woman to lead the business department at British Vogue.<\/p>\n

Kingori was also the first black publisher at the Cond\u00e9 Nast\u2019s England division.<\/p>\n

In a statement posted on her Instagram account, Kingori expressed her optimism for her new challenge, stating that the appointment was a show of faith by the giant media company.<\/p>\n
