Africa-Press<\/a> – Kenya<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Notorious self-confessed serial killer Masten Wanjala has escaped from Jogoo Road Police Station in unclear circumstances.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that the suspect was to appear at the Makadara Law Court on Wednesday, October 13, for a hearing of his case.<\/p>\n

He was expected in court today where he faced 13 counts of murder. This was after he confessed to killing at least 15 children in Nairobi and two other counties.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old in September 2021, led detectives to two crime scenes in Machakos county, five in Nairobi and two in Kajiado.<\/p>\n

Wanjala on Wednesday, September 1, led a team of homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to a home in Bungoma County where he claimed to have buried some of his victims.<\/p>\n

The homicide team visited Sosio village in Kimilili Constituency, where one of Wanjala\u2019s victims, a 9-year-old was allegedly killed before his body was dumped in a pit latrine in February 2019.<\/p>\n

Detectives learned that the decomposing body of the minor was discovered days later in the pit latrine by a neighbour who then raised alarm.<\/p>\n

When the body was found an angry mob descended on the family members who lived there and police arrested the owner of the homestead, Haron Ajenga.<\/p>\n

Mrs Ajenga stated that when police officers visited their home to remove the body of the minor then, Wanjala was present as he lived around at the time.<\/p>\n

Wanjala claimed he carried the murders with the help of an individual by the name of “Isaac”. He told detectives that Isaac helped him carry out the killings in Kitengela and other places.<\/p>\n

The suspect further revealed that the first murders he ever committed were with the aid of four individuals.<\/p>\n

He alleged that the four individuals included three men and one woman whose names he did not disclose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
