{"id":38028,"date":"2021-10-27T16:46:43","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T16:46:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\/?p=38028"},"modified":"2021-10-27T15:25:52","modified_gmt":"2021-10-27T15:25:52","slug":"knec-declares-oscar-sudi-kcse-certificate-fake-gives-evidence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\/all-news\/knec-declares-oscar-sudi-kcse-certificate-fake-gives-evidence","title":{"rendered":"KNEC Declares Oscar Sudi KCSE Certificate Fake, Gives Evidence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, has suffered yet another blow after the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) provided evidence proving that he allegedly forged his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) academic certificate.<\/p>\n<p>KNEC Principal Examinations Secretary, Nabiki Kashu, told Magistrate Felix Kombo on Tuesday, October 26, that Sudi did not register or sit for the KCSE exams in 2006 at Highway Secondary School.<\/p>\n<p>She added that Sudi&#8217;s certificate belongs to Parklands Secondary School. Nabiki, who is the head of records and archives at KNEC, told the court that Sudi&#8217;s records do not appear in either Highway or Parklands Secondary Schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the letter, we were asked to find out whether such a candidate sat for KCSE in the year 2006 at Highway Secondary School in Nairobi and was awarded certificate serial number 3381074 under index 401006\/081,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>To corroborate her submission, she stated that the index number which purported to be Sudi&#8217;s belonged to someone else by the name Obaje Bob Onyango, who was registered and sat for the 2006 KCSE examinations at Parklands.<\/p>\n<p>To further prove that Sudi might have forged the certificate, Nabiki noted that the code presented in his certificate belongs to Parklands secondary school. In fact, she added that by 2006, Highway Secondary School was non-existent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no possibility of two schools sharing a code number during a given examination. Similarly, there is no possibility of two candidates sharing an index number,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Nabiki told the court that she received a letter from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on September 17, 2015, on the matter regarding Sudi&#8217;s academic credentials for the year 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Also in court is Sudi&#8217;s case involving the eligibility of his Diploma certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The outspoken lawmaker is accused of forging a certificate in Business Management purporting it to be a genuine document issued by the Kenya Institute of Management.<\/p>\n<p>The case is set to proceed even as Sudi takes to the stand to defend himself against the evidence presented in court.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\">Kenya<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya.
