Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>On Friday, October 29, Samburu West Member of Parliament, Hon. Naisula Lesuuda was allegedly attacked by unknown people at night who pelted her car with stones.<\/p>\n

According to the statement given by the MP, she was heading home from a meeting when she was ambushed in Maralal town.<\/p>\n

She mentioned that she was from a successful meeting she had held with a number of Kikuyu businessmen and about 600 other key stakeholders.<\/p>\n

While speaking to the media, Naisula stated that these are worrying events that politicians should avoid, especially now that they are trying to maintain peace in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is very unfortunate that we have such incidents when we are discussing matters of security in this area.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can only imagine that if such a thing has been done to my car, what then can be done to another person?\u201d Naisula posed.<\/p>\n

The aspiring governor further noted that she is confident that the attack was political, since some political statements were hurled at her before the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy I am convinced it was all political is because of the political statements made before the stone was hurled at my car,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have gone through this but God and the people vindicated such goons and they will do it again. I encourage other women not to fear or be intimidated especially as they run for political seats,\u201d Naisula stated on her social media platforms.<\/p>\n

Notably, she stated that this was not the first time she was being attacked, but she will not back down.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a time I had an incident where I was at a radio station and some young men came and threatened to burn down the station if I didn’t leave, yet I was only selling my manifesto. I will still push forward with my ambitions regardless,\u201d Naisula remarked.<\/p>\n
