He is a talented and dedicated journalist, with over a decade&#8217;s experience reporting Business News in Africa,&#8221; Ndebu&#8217;s statement read.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would also like to express my gratitude to the BBC Africa Business leadership team who, have alongside Zawadi, led the BBC Africa business teams through a protracted leadership transition, read the statement.<\/p>\n<p>Mudibo will be in charge of more than 40 journalists under the business segment with the responsibility of coming up with creative strategies for the development and expansion of BBC&#8217;s coverage in the competitive African space.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to ascending to his position, Mudibo was acting as the Business Editor for Africa after being poached by Larry before his exit in an effort to strengthen the BBC Africa&#8217;s business team.<\/p>\n<p>Mudibo who previously worked for Kenya Television Network(KTN) and the Mediamax owned K24 TV as a business news anchor. He also worked as a news editor and anchor at WTV, a free-to-air community television station that later shut down.<\/p>\n<p>Mudibo will now lead the BBC Business Africa&#8217;s team that is made up of other talented Kenyan journalists like Bonney Tunya, Peter Wakaba, and Clare Muthengi.<\/p>\n<p>Larry Madowo left BBC to join its rival Cable News Network(CNN) based in Atlanta in the United States of America in May 2021 as the Nairobi-based correspondent after which he was promoted to be an anchor.<\/p>\n<p>Madowo has since flourished in his new role at CNN, conducting high profile interviews including one with the former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown who admitted that he knew him from watching his work on the international broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSir, this is Larry Madowo in Atlanta,&#8221; posed Madowo to which Brown responded, \u201cI know you, Larry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\">Kenya<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya.
