Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>The Law Society of Kenya President, Nelson Havi, on Wednesday, November 17, ridiculed President Uhuru Kenyatta after he replaced the Commissioner General of Kenya Prisons Service with Brigadier (Rtd) John Kibaso Warioba.<\/p>\n

Havi told the President that he had taken action on only one officer yet the entire Cabinet had failed and embarrassed him.<\/p>\n

The LSK President called on the Head of State to do the same with the entire Cabinet, singling out Attorney General, Paul Kariuki Kihara.<\/p>\n

While defending his remarks, the decorated lawyer noted that all the Cabinet Secretaries should be shown the door, arguing that they all have proven to be incompetent in executing their mandates.<\/p>\n

\u201cKick out Attorney General Paul Kariuki Kihara. Sack your entire Cabinet. Sack everyone in your government. All these appointees have embarrassed you,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Notably, the LSK President applauded Uhuru for the steps he had taken in sacking a few appointees of his government, advising him not to stop. He further advised the Head of State to clean his government by getting rid of all incompetent persons.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell done President Uhuru Kenyatta for sacking and apprehending the Commissioner General of Prisons, Wycliffe Ogalo. Don\u2019t stop there,” state Havi.<\/p>\n

At the same time, former Kakamega Senator, Boni Khalwale, made similar remarks advising the President to listen to Kenyans and sack most of his Cabinet Secretaries.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Citizen TV Daybreak show on Thursday, November 18, he mentioned that as much as the President sacked prison officers, they do not work independently as they follow a code of conduct.<\/p>\n

He stated that the sacked officers only act after being given orders from above and that their seniors are the ones who deserves the sack.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are not just ordinary officers. They are people who work under a strict Code of Conduct, which makes it impossible for them to act on such issues, unless a command is released. This means the whole system, right from the top is rotten.<\/p>\n

This is not a prison break, this is an inside job. They simply bought their freedom and ordinary officers are not in the capacity to give that,\u201d Khalwale remarked.<\/p>\n

He proceeded to state that he would be happier if Uhuru had taken action against the senior most officers including the National Intelligence Service head, Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and his Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be so happy if I saw action taken against NIS, Matiang’i and Kibicho, just to send a clear message,\u201d Khalwale concluded.<\/p>\n
