Former winner Geoffrey Kamworor finished fourth in 2:05:23.<\/p>\n<p>The win by Cherono in the Spanish city comes after victories in Chicago and Boston in 2019, Amsterdam Marathon in 2018 and 2017, Honululu in 2017, Czech in 2016 and Sevilla in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s category, Jelagat won her first-ever marathon, clocking 2:19:31 as Ethiopia&#8217;s Woldu Etagene came second in 2:20:16 with compatriots Degefa Beyenu (2:23:04) and Tusa Rahma (2:23:20) finishing third and fourth respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Fionnuala McCormack of Ireland completed the top five positions in 2:23:58<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\">Kenya<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya.
