Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kisumu All Stars coach Salim Babu has termed their 3-0 mid-week win over SS Assad in the National Super League as a game-changer.<\/p>\n

It was the team\u2019s first win in the league after recording two losses and a draw.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe win means a lot for us. We were under pressure to win because we had a winless streak of three games,\u201d said Babu.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is one of our best performances and I have told the players clearly that for us to return to the Kenyan Premier League, we must get positive results at home and away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of Sunday\u2019s game against Fortune Sacco at Wanguru Stadium in Kirinyaga, coach Babu noted: \u201cThe win will boost the players’ morale as the league gathers momentum. We are traveling to Kirinyaga for a positive result. We don\u2019t have a good away record this season but we want to turn the tide.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the game against the newbies SS Assad at Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Collins Onyango, Ibrahim Ochieng and Tony Nyangor were on target for the former Premier League side.<\/p>\n

The tactician remained confident that he will lead the team back to KPL next season after faltering in their quest for promotion in the last games of last season.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Shabana\u2019s team manager Jared Sani has termed the team\u2019s 4-0 loss against Mully Children\u2019s Family at Thika Stadium as a reality check.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe players didn\u2019t play according to the coach\u2019s instructions. It was a shocking loss. However, we hope to bounce back when we play Mombasa Elites at home on Sunday,\u201d said Sani.<\/p>\n

\u201cMombasa Elites are currently unbeaten in the league and lead the log but the players are under pressure to win the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mombasa Elites narrowly edged Mara Sugar 3-2.<\/p>\n

In other matches scheduled for Sunday, Muhoroni Youth will be at home to Mully Children\u2019s Family at Muhoroni Stadium as APS Bomet welcome Migori Youth at Bomet Stadium.<\/p>\n

Gusii FC entertain Vihiga United at Awendo Green Stadium in the first of a tripleheader. In the second game, Shabana will host Mombasa Elites while in the third game, Mara Sugar will collide with Zoo Kericho.<\/p>\n

SS Assad host Coastal Heroes at Mbaraki Stadium in a coast region derby while Murang’a Seal will hope to bounce back when they welcome Kibera Black Stars at St Sebastian Park in Murang’a.<\/p>\n

Dandora Love will battle it out with newly-promoted Naivas FC at Camp Toyoyo as Mwatate United play Silibwet Leons at Wundanyi Stadium.<\/p>\n
