Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kabras RFC coach Jerome Muller believes there is room for improvement from his charges after beating Impala 24-12 to preserve their 100 percent start to the season.<\/p>\n

Despite securing a bonus-point win over the hosts, the South African tactician said the club must improve their decision making and play from the set-piece once the league resumes in the new year<\/p>\n

“Overall our performance was not good. We need to go back to the drawing board and look at certain facets of our play. Credit to Impala. They made life difficult for us,\u201d added Muller.<\/p>\n

Winger Derrick Ashiundu continued his rich vein of form by scoring two tries with props Hillary Mwanjilwa and Ephraim Oduor scoring a try each.<\/p>\n

Jone Kubu added two conversions. Impala points came from penalties from Martin Juma slotting (one) and Quinto Ongo (3). Kabras 12-3 at the interval<\/p>\n

Impala head coach Oscar Osir lamented lapses in decision-making in key moments of the match. This, he said, cost his side as they slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat.<\/p>\n

“We were competitive in some areas but in key moments, we did not have the composure and that was the difference between the two teams,” said Osir.<\/p>\n

Menengai Oilers kept pace with Kabras at the top of the table with a 30-19 win over Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology(MMUST) in Nakuru.<\/p>\n

Clinton Odhiambo, Tyson Maina, Davis Nyaundi, Geoffrey Ominde touched down once each as Timothy Okwemba kicked over two penalties and two conversions.<\/p>\n

Claus Shiviero crossed the line for the students as Erick Cantona kicked over three penalties and one conversion.<\/p>\n

Homeboyz bagged their first win of the season, beating Quins 23-12 in an entertaining encounter at the RFUEA ground. Scrum-half Cornelius Mukoro, Mohammed Omollo, Jospeh Amalemba and Brian Juma scored a try each.<\/p>\n

Charles Kinyanjui scored one try for the losers, Amon Wamalwa scored two penalties and Charles Marcel kicked over a conversion.<\/p>\n

Nondies snapped their three-game losing streak by beating Strathnmore Leos 22-15 at the Ngong Racecourse. Blak Blad drew with Nakuru 10-10 .<\/p>\n

The match between champions KCB and Kabras was postponed due to health and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
