AfricaPress-Kenya:<\/strong> Fumigation of Nairobi County is set to continue today at Muthurwa and City markets.<\/p>\n

The spraying that began last Thursday has seen areas such as GPO bus stop, KenCom, Khoja stage, City Market, Hilton Hotel’s public seating area, National Archives, Jeevanjee Gardens, Bus Station, Hakati Road, Tom Mboya stage, Railways bus stop, Aga Khan Walk, Ronald Ngala Street, and Mfangano Lane fumigated.<\/p>\n

County’s deputy director for Health Wilson Lang’at yesterday said the exercise would move to Muthurwa market, which is frequented by many city residents.\u00a0Next, he said, would be City Market.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow the Health ministry, in collaboration with the County government, will be fumigating Burma and other markets in Parklands.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are done fumigating bus stages in the city. We will wait for 14 days before fumigating them again,\u201d said Lang’at.Some 215 health workers have been deployed throughout the county for the fumigation and 200 more, who were on leave, recalled.\u00a0On Saturday, the Health authorities targeted public markets in Nairobi, including Gikomba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
