Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>UDA head of communications Hussein Mohamed has termed fake reports that it paid social media influencers to push its agenda during the election period.<\/p>\n

He made the remarks after a list of influencers with amount of money allegedly paid was posted online.<\/p>\n

The fake letter was purporting to show payments to be made to Twitter influencers for online services that were done between August 9 and August 22.<\/p>\n

In a statement on Wednesday on his Twitter account, Hussein said the letter was a desperate attempt by “masters of forgery”.<\/p>\n

The letter claimed to have been authored by Hussein Mohammed and addressed to the UDA Finance Director, purported to approve payments in tens of thousands of dollars to five social media influencers.<\/p>\n

The cumulative amount on the now-declared fake letter amounted to Sh13.7 million.<\/p>\n

The letter had a stamp and was showing that it was signed by Hussein and secretary general Veronica Maina.<\/p>\n
