Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has urged his supporters not to lose hope and instead be firm and steadfast as they wait for the Supreme Court verdict on his presidential petition case.<\/p>\n

Odinga said they are sure they won the elections and their victory couldn\u2019t be grabbed by \u2018those corrupt people\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want you not to lose hope, be firm. Our victory can\u2019t be grabbed by those corrupt people, we will take our victory and bring it home,\u201d Raila said.<\/p>\n

He spoke during Apostle Francis Musili of Around The Globe Ministries (ATG) father\u2019s burial ceremony at Migwani in Mwingi West, Kitui County on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The ODM chief was accompanied by several leaders alongside Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, Woman representative Irene Kasalu and Senator Enoch Wambua.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the meaning of Azimio La Umoja. We are sure that we won. I have to thank you for the many votes you gave me, your votes rained like rain,\u201d Raila said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour votes haven\u2019t gone into waste, they are still there and have value. I don\u2019t want to discuss matters that are in court. Some people are trying to threaten the court, we want justice to take place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kasalu, Malombe and Wambua said the Kamba nation and Kenyans at large were still behind the Azimio\u2019s flag bearer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese people I\u2019m sure 100 per cent will vote for you again, Baba is the fifth. Thank you so much for voting for us. Thank you so much for voting for me,\u201d Kasalu told the mourners.<\/p>\n

Wambua urged Kitui residents to remain calm as they wait for the court\u2019s verdict.<\/p>\n

He said the court\u2019s decision will not be necessarily the end of the struggle.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s be calm, tutulie, tungoje uamuzi wa korti. Sisi tumetii amri. Tutatulia, tutangoja uamuzi wa korti. But I want to tell my people, the court\u2019s decision will not be necessarily the end of this struggle, the struggle must continue,\u201d Wambua said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the Martin Luther King Junior who said that every man has both legal and moral responsibility to obey just laws. But, every man under the earth has both legal and moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. We must sit and wait for justice with fairness, there can never be justice without fairness,\u201d Wambua added.<\/p>\n

The senator said they will wait for Raila and Kalonzo\u2019s signals.<\/p>\n

\u201cWherever you will tell us to go, we shall go. We are your loyal troops because all these people have problems, we have problems as a community, and Kitui County residents in particular,\u201d Wambua said.<\/p>\n

He said they couldn\u2019t afford to keep the Kamba nation out of government especially if they were sure that the victory was theirs but stolen from them.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaba na Kalonzo chezeni kama nyinyi, give us direction and we shall follow,\u201d Wambua said.<\/p>\n

Malombe said there was massive rigging during the presidential elections.<\/p>\n

He said with the evidence they presented to court, they will win the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven the elections scheduled for August 29 for Kitui Rural parliamentary seat, Mombasa and Kakamega gubernatorial seats, we will win. We have no doubts, we are eagerly waiting for the case,”Malombe said.<\/p>\n

“If told to repeat the presidential elections, we are ready. We must move the country forward without corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raila assured the Kamba nation that if he takes power as the fifth president, his administration will solve several problems faced by the residents including water, roads and electricity, among other infrastructures.<\/p>\n
