Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>St Paul\u2019s Gekano and Nduru Boys High schools dominated the Nyamira and Kisii County secondary schools Term Two games.<\/p>\n

In Nyamira, host Gekano bagged the handball, rugby Sevens, and volleyball titles while in Kisii, Nduru Boys settled for rugby Sevens and hockey trophies.<\/p>\n

Gekano beat Matongo in straight sets of 25-23, 25-19, 25-18 to lift the volleyball title and thrashed defending champions Masosa 18-9 to lift the handball title. In rugby Sevens, Gekano defeated Gesiaga 14-12 in a tough final.<\/p>\n

Gekendo went on to lift the boys\u2019 soccer title after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Nyansiongo High School while Gekomoni reclaimed the girls’ football after a narrow 3-2 win over Tombe Girls.<\/p>\n

Ekenyoro secondary bagged both the boys’ and girls\u2019 basketball titles. In the boys’ category, they saw off Nyansiongo 60-43 while in the girls’ category, they beat St Teresa\u2019s Gekano 14-08.<\/p>\n

Rirumi thrashed Don Bosco 43-01 to win the netball crown while Motagara beat Geta 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 25-15) to win the women\u2019s volleyball title. Masosa retained the girls’ handball title.<\/p>\n

In Kisii county, Nduru Boys and Amaiko Girls retained their hockey titles. Nduru defeated former giants Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho 1-0 to retain the boys’ crown. The game was, however, abandoned in the second half after Cardinal Otunga players disputed a penalty awarded to Nduru. Stanley Lovino scored for Nduru Boys.<\/p>\n

In the girls’ category, Florence Achieng and Brenda Atieno were on target for Amaiko as they saw off Kereri Girls 2-0 in the final.<\/p>\n

Kerongorori thumped Nyaecheo 6-0 to lift the girls\u2019 soccer title. Faith Barongo Baruku and Leah Ombui scored a brace each for Kerongorori while Purity Vincent and Happiness Vincent wrapped up the scores. In the boys’ category, Gesabakwa beat Ong\u2019icha 3-1 to win the title.<\/p>\n

Daniel Ombura struck twice for Gesabakwa with Lameck Kennedy adding the third. Wilfred Obwoge scored Ong\u2019icha\u2019s consolation.<\/p>\n

Ndonyo Mixed Secondary clinched both handball titles. In the boys’ category, Ndonyo narrowly beat defending champions Nduru Boys 23-21 in an epic final while in the girls’ category, Ndonyo beat Kereri 15-13.<\/p>\n

Nyakembene defeated Ichuni 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-12) to win the girls\u2019 volleyball title while Riokindo, coached by Richard Areba, defeated Nduru 3-0 (25-25, 25-20, 29-27) to bag the boys’ title.<\/p>\n

Nyanchwa Boys won their fourth consecutive boys\u2019 basketball title after beating Cardinal Otunga High, Mosocho while St Angela\u2019s Sengera beat Kereri 40-30 to win the girls\u2019 basketball title. Keberesi won the netball title after beating Ayora 38-10.<\/p>\n

In Migori County, Nyamaharaga upset Kanga Boys 2-0 to win the boys; soccer title while Agenga defeated Kakrao 4-2 on post-match penalties to win the title. Agenga and Pe-Hill won the girls’ and boys’ hockey titles after emerging top in the competition which was played in a round robin.<\/p>\n

St Joseph\u2019s Rapogi narrowly defeated Oruba 20-19 to lift the rugby 7\u2019s title while Oyugi Ogango beat Kadika 57-18 to win the netball title.<\/p>\n
