Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has congratulated ODM gubernatorial candidate Fernandes Barasa after he won the Kakamega governor seat.<\/p>\n

Khalwale in a tweet celebrated the governor-elect and congratulated ANC’s Cleophas Malala for putting up a spirited fight.<\/p>\n

“Congratulations Barasa Fernandes for your win and Cleophas Malala for your spirited fight back,” Khalwale tweeted.<\/p>\n

Barasa garnered 192,929 votes against Malala who got 159,508 votes.<\/p>\n

He won in all the constituencies in the southern region and two others in the northern region.<\/p>\n

ODM has now won nine of the 12 parliamentary seats and 48 out of the 60 MCA seats in Kakamega.<\/p>\n
