Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>The Directorate of Criminal Investigation has identified a firearm that had been stolen from a police officer and used in over 30 robberies in Nairobi.<\/p>\n

The robbers used the gun to target Mpesa shops in Nairobi for the past three years.<\/p>\n

The firearm was stolen from a police officer on special duty who was found lying unconscious close to Parklands police station.<\/p>\n

Detectives at the National Forensic Laboratory identified the gun through ballistic analysis.<\/p>\n

Investigations conducted by the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau established that the officer had been stupefied by women linked to a drink-spiking syndicate.<\/p>\n

The stolen firearm was later hired out to thugs who reigned terror on city traders.<\/p>\n

The women who targeted male patrons had invaded city night spots and swept men\u2019s bank accounts clean.<\/p>\n

According to the police, many of the victims were admitted in hospital due to an overdose of the stupefying drug commonly known as \u2018mchele\u2019 while some lost their lives.<\/p>\n
