Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President-elect William Ruto has said he has no grudge against their opponents in the just concluded general elections.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media in Karen on Monday shortly after the Supreme court upheld his win, Ruto promised that those who voted for him and those who did not will get equal opportunities.<\/p>\n

Ruto said this after a journalist from Inooro TV asked him a question.<\/p>\n

The outgoing DP had once called out the station for what he termed as propagating hate.<\/p>\n

Before giving his answer, he asked the journalist how the station was fairing amid waves of laughter from the audience.<\/p>\n

“And how is Inooro by the way, where are my good friends from Citizen,” he asked.<\/p>\n

Ruto said he is not in bad books with anyone and that all Kenyans will be treated equally.<\/p>\n

“I know sometimes people think that the people who really fought hard against us that we harbour grudges, we don’t. We are democrats and we will work together,” he said.<\/p>\n

On August 4, Ruto accused Inooro and Kameme FM of what he termed as spreading false reports.<\/p>\n

He claimed that former MPs Njenga Mungai and Joseph Kiuna have been spreading narratives of violence, through the stations.<\/p>\n

The two had been appearing as guests at the stations. He said they should be made to answer to incitement charges.<\/p>\n

“Let me also say that this plan is being propagated by certain media houses. Kameme and Inooro FM and more specifically Njenga Mungai and Joseph Kiuna (Ex-Molo and Njoro MPs). They are running narratives around violence and around conflict,” Ruto said.<\/p>\n
