Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Religious leaders have urged Trans Nzoia MCAs to collaborate with Governor George Natembeya to develop the county.<\/p>\n

The leaders said the previous leaders failed to cooperate with the former governor Patrick Khaemba.<\/p>\n

Trans Nzoia Inter-Religious Council of Kenya chairperson Raymond Mutama said the council is making plans to convene a meeting between the governor and MCAs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are making efforts for a meeting to deliberate on how they will work together to develop this county,\u201d Mutama said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He said that MCAs should work together to make Natembeya’s work easy regardless of the political party they are affiliated with.<\/p>\n

The council deputy secretary Martin Mafumbo said that it will take a short time to unite the county to embark on the issues affecting residents.<\/p>\n

He said Natembeya should analyse the failures of the previous government and work on them to develop the county.<\/p>\n

He said some of the failures were a lack of accountability and corruption among leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe governor should include religious leaders to help him manage the leadership of Trans Nzoia and advice him on projects to undertake for the county,\u201d Mafumbo said.<\/p>\n
