Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has fired back at President William Ruto saying the opposition members are not interested in any job at the executive.<\/p>\n

The comments come after Ruto said he will not appoint any member of the opposition to his government.<\/p>\n

Ruto welcomed the commitment by the Azimio leaders to check on his administration.<\/p>\n

“I’m happy to note that our competitors have said they will provide oversight over our government,” Ruto said.<\/p>\n

“We have accepted that we are not going to appoint any member of the opposition into government because we want a vibrant opposition, an opposition that will keep the government on check.”<\/p>\n

But in an apparent rejoinder to Ruto’s remarks, Kalonzo said they have a lot of work to do rather than seeking jobs in the executive.<\/p>\n

“Let it be known to all and sundry that the leaders in Azimio One Kenya Alliance are not interested in any jobs whatsoever from the executive. We already have a lot of work to do as we have demonstrated even this afternoon,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Wiper leader made the remarks during the unveiling of the Azimio parliamentary leaders.<\/p>\n

Kalonzo said the legislature as an arm of government has a constitutional mandate to oversight the executive.<\/p>\n
