Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto on Sunday requested the clergy to pray for State House, his new residence.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a Thanksgiving service at the residence, Ruto told the clergy not to leave immediately as he wanted the compound blessed.<\/p>\n

“Please don’t leave after lunch. Speak a word of blessing in this compound. Those who can speak in tongues speak around this compound. We will ask the senior clergy to pray over this residence,” Ruto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll ask 30 to 40 members of the clergy to pray over this building. To you all, don\u2019t be in a hurry to leave. Walk around State House as you pray in tongues. Let everyone know that we are finally here,” he added.<\/p>\n

Bishop Mark Kariuki who led the Thanksgiving service said they will pray over State House until all the hiding evil forces are driven out.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve heard the President inviting us to walk all over this place to purify it. When we walk around State House, we\u2019ll declare this ground purified. Any evil altar that may have been raised here will be paralysed in the name of Jesus Christ. We are more than 40 preachers,” he said.<\/p>\n

Other clergymen who were present include Bishop JB Masinde of the Deliverance Church Umoja, Bishop Arthur Kitonga of the Redeemed Gospel Church and Apostle Joe Kayo of the Deliverance Church, among others.<\/p>\n
