Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has come at people questioning the move to give her husband Murega Baicu two roles in her administration.<\/p>\n

Kawira through her Facebook account said without her husband, she would not have made it to be the Governor.<\/p>\n

“To many that see you wanaona “jamaa wa makofia” what they forget is that without you there would be no “Governor ni Mama” in Meru county,” she said.<\/p>\n

Kawira noted that during her campaigns, nobody believed in her apart from the husband.<\/p>\n

“You the only person that believed in me when no politician would stand by me and campaign for me. Through your talent I was able to hold campaign rallies and visit home to home,” she said.<\/p>\n

Kawira added that her husband still believed in her when she was the woman representative in Meru.<\/p>\n

“Through your belief and unequivocal support, I became the best woman rep in whole of Kenya,” she said.<\/p>\n

On Friday, she appointed Baicu as the Meru Youth Service Patron and Hustlers ambassador.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the unveiling of her cabinet, Mwangaza said Murega\u2019s position will not be paid or compensated but will be more of a volunteer as he serves the county.<\/p>\n

“You agreed to sacrifice yourself and decided selflessly to work without pay and allowances. By accepting my ambassadorial appointment you have proved to be a selfless gentleman,” she said.<\/p>\n

“A pillar of my strength and my support system. Many would like to judge my open declaration but it is only God and I know you deserve much more than this. I am most certain under your patronage MYS will nature so many talents especially those from poor background.”<\/p>\n
