Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Outgoing Environment and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko has said he is confident that the Ministry is in safe hands once his nominated successor Soipan Tuya takes over.<\/p>\n

Tobiko made the remarks in a meeting with German delegates on Friday. Tuya was also in attendance.<\/p>\n

Tuya who was appointed to the docket by President William Ruto is awaiting approval by the National assembly before she starts her new role.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held to discuss among other things Kenya-German relations in regard to clean energy, environmental conservation and preparation ahead of the COP 27 which is to be held in Sharma El Sheikh in Egypt.<\/p>\n

The Germany delegation was led by German State Secretary and special Envoy on climate change, Jennifer Morgan.<\/p>\n

Also present were German to Kenya ambassador Sebastian Groth and Environment PS Kiptoo CK among other technical professionals.<\/p>\n

Outgoing Energy Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Monica Juma was in attendance.<\/p>\n
