Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kiharu MP Ndidi Nyoro on Sunday sensationally claimed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua cannot access President William Ruto without the approval of his aide Farouk Kibet.<\/p>\n

Farouk is a long serving personal assistant of President Ruto.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a thanksgiving service organized by Farouk at Koilel Primary school in Uasin Gishu county, Nyoro said the host is a powerful man in Ruto’s inner circle.<\/p>\n

He disclosed that one cannot access the president without the nod of Farouk who he described as swift in coordinating activities whenever the President is about to attend functions.<\/p>\n

“Huyu mtu anaitwa Farouk ni mtu wa maana sana. Na watu wanasikianga Farouk wanafikiria ni mtu utapata ako na ofisi floor moja ujo kwa ofisi ya Rais (Farouk is a very important person. Many people hear of him and think he has an office at the office of the President),” he said.<\/p>\n

“Ofisi ya Farouk ni ile ya Rais wetu wa Kenya. Kwa sababu huwezi fikia Rais Farouk akisema no. Ata huyu deputy President rafiki yangu kufikia yeye (Ruto) Farouk lazima aseme yes (Farouk’s office is that of the President of Kenya. Because you can’t access the president if Farouk says no. Even the deputy president who is my friend to reach him Farouk must say yes),” he added, seemingly in jest.<\/p>\n

While describing Farouk, Gachagua said he would wish to work with him but the President told him off saying he should look for “his own Farouk”.<\/p>\n

The DP noted that the aide has been instrumental in Kenya Kwanza Alliance’s win saying he made a huge a contribution.<\/p>\n

This is not he first time leaders have discussed Farouk’s role in President William Ruto’s political activities..<\/p>\n

During the burial of his father in November 2018, Garissa Town MP Aden Duale made a similar remarks about the President’s aide.<\/p>\n

“Farouk ako na mazuri mengi. Lakini hamukusema zile shida huyu Farouk Kibet anapatia wajumbe na wale wanataka kumuona makamu wa rais (Ruto). Kama hamjawahi kusikia dikteta, dikteta ni Farouk Kibet. Unajua yeye hana ofisi, lakini ako na corridor ingine inaitwa corridor of power ambayo inaishia kwa ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais.”<\/p>\n
