Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Lawyer Miguna Miguna has dismissed assertions that he is angling to be given a job by the Kenya Kwanza regime. His remarks emanated from a comment made on his response to lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi’s tweet that Ruto was unilaterally making state appointments.<\/p>\n

“When it comes to jobs President William Ruto appoints…don’t waste your time lobbying him or third parties…he makes all the decisions personally, alone and independently…just pray to God and put your best foot forward!,” Abdullahi said.<\/p>\n

But Miguna was quick to correct him over the assumption saying if that were the case, it would mean Kenya has degenerated into a dictatorship, which he said was not the case.<\/p>\n

“Is it practically possible, or beneficial, for the Kenyan people if (I say if because I doubt that what you have stated is happening) one person makes all the appointments in the executive arm of government? That would turn what is supposed to be a democracy into a one-man rule,” Miguna retorted.<\/p>\n

An internet user who was undoubtedly following the conversation told Miguna that he would not get any job in government. This, seemingly, in reference to the lawyer’s apparent defence of the government over the state appointments.<\/p>\n

“Miguna Miguna you won’t get any job. Not even sweeping job,” he said. Miguna miguna you won’t get any job.. Not even sweeping job On Friday, President William Ruto made ten key appointments and assigned mostly his allies plum jobs at State House.<\/p>\n

They include Felix Koskei who was appointed Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service and David Ndii who got the post of chairing President’s Council of Economic Advisors.<\/p>\n

Josphat Nanok, former Turkana governor, was appointed deputy Chief of Staff while Augustine Cheruiyot was appointed senior advisor and head of Fiscal affairs and public policy. But Miguna said he has “many significant and satisfying jobs” on his hands to be soliciting for any other.<\/p>\n

“I have many jobs. Very significant and satisfying jobs. As as a Barrister & Solicitor. As a certified mediator. As a writer. As a thinker. As a commentator. Who told you that I am looking for another job? he posed.<\/p>\n
