Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Outgoing Industrialization CAS David Osiany has given a hearty farewell to senior staff at the ministry, describing them as exemplary public servants deserving of recognition.<\/p>\n

Osiany on Tuesday singled out 25 officials from various parastatals under the ministry, appreciating them for their diligence and commitment to public service.<\/p>\n

The Chief Administrative Secretary said he was impressed by the consistent, sacrificial and determined input the 25 officers among many others under his docket dedicated to public service, without looking to grab credit for it nor seek material gain.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I will dispatch official letters of commendation to various colleagues at the ministry whose services have been exemplary during my stint here… these letters will forever be in their public service files for reference as a mark of excellence,<\/p>\n

“I have made an attempt at ensuring that their labour of diligence and zeal is recognised, even if feebly,\u201d Osiany said.<\/p>\n

Osiany was appointed CAS in 2018 by retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.<\/p>\n

The suave communication and public policy expert is set to exit office, alongside the ministry head CS Betty Maina, once the President William Ruto’s administration fully takes shape.<\/p>\n

The Industrialization CAS noted that he singled out the ministry top guns for recognition in a bid to negate the practice of bringing down public servants who find themselves in error, or who are just outright crooks…\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I wind up my tour of duty in this station, I felt it prudent to let each of these colleagues know that they have been stellar, impressive and indeed patriotic in their duty to our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that his four-year stint as the ministry\u2019s number two has taught him that there are great people in public service, but their efforts are seldom recognised.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile most people jostle for the 2Ps (power and per diem), there are honorable public servants who spend hours of diligent work. Some do such great work but will never be known because we \u2018bosses\u2019 easily take credit of their labour without recognizing them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among those singled out by Osiany include Oliver Konje (Director of External Trade, State Department of Trade), Martin Chesire (CEO, Kenya Accreditation Service), Mildred Akoth (Principal Accountant – State Department of Trade), Stephen Odua (Director of Private Sector Development and Business Environment, State Department of Industrialization), Bruno Linyiru (Secretary of Trade) and Judy Njeru (Director of Human Resource Development, State Department of Industrialization).<\/p>\n

Others are Parmain Narikae (Managing Director, Kenya Industrial Estates), Andrew Maiyoo (Regional Manager, Lake Region, Kenya Bureau of Standards), Jane Asuma (Director of Human Resource Development, State Department of Trade), Henry Rithaa (Director General, Micro Small Enterprise Authority), Nicholas Kamau (CFO, State Department of Industrialization), Hezekiah Okeyo (Industrialization Secretary) among others.<\/p>\n
