Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Ben Kalya was crowned the overall winner of the third leg of the DTB \u2018Bank with us\u2019 golf tournament on Saturday night at the lush par 70 Kericho golf course.<\/p>\n

Playing off handicap 20, the Kericho-based businessman carded an impressive 42 stableford points to claim the title having registered one birdie and seven pars to beat his closest rival, Roberto D\u2019Souza, by one point.<\/p>\n

D\u2019Souza was named the overall men\u2019s winner after carding 41 stableford points off handicap 13.<\/p>\n

Kakamega Sports Club’s Scarlet Muhadia \u2014 off handicap 29 \u2014 clinched the overall title in the women’s division after carding 35 stableford points.<\/p>\n

Kalya said: \u201cI am extremely elated to scoop the overall award at this tournament. I woke up ready to hit the fairways having had enough time to prepare for the event. I thank my foursomes who were phenomenal and proved worthy competitors.\u201d<\/p>\n

This was DTB \u2018bank with us\u2019 tournament in Kericho County.<\/p>\n

The first two legs of the tournament were held in Kakamega and Mombasa counties.<\/p>\n

Tej Bachu claimed the longest drive in the men\u2019s category while Faith Chemutai won the longest-drive lady.<\/p>\n

David Omollo of Nyanza Club cliched the nearest to the pin award. The fourth leg is slated for NyanzaClub in Kisumu county on November 19.<\/p>\n
