It is good to move the county forward and having a woman as a minister for sports is great. It is good for us to support each other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cThe space is always enough for everyone as much as we are crying out loud for gender equality. I want to give you full support with the county government&#8217;s goodwill for all the sports here in the county.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ngendo urged women in sports to utilise their talent well in a bid to occupy their spaces in the competitive world of sports.<\/p>\n<p>She said women have a chance to compete with the rest of the country in sports if they position themselves well.<\/p>\n<p>She said she is ready to give support to women&#8217;s teams in the county now that she is in a position to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Event organizer Charity Wangoma said Football Kenya Federation should reduce the fees charged on registration and licenses to give a chance to many women&#8217;s teams to be part of the league<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are here as women in sports to fight for gender equality. What we are doing is a social economic transformation and empowerment of girls and young women. There is so much discrimination, and inequality in recourse allocation where male sports are given more priority compared to women. It is all about discrimination and unequal distribution of resources,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She said It&#8217;s time women were left to run their own affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving men as managers of women&#8217;s clubs is a major risk because they take advantage of the girls.
