Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Greensharks will miss the services of Abraham Mumo, Mathew Kiplagat, and Kevin Simyu when they tackle Wazalendo in the men’s hockey Premier League match on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The three have work-related commitments and are unavailable for the match at the City Park Stadium, where Sharks will be seeking revenge after losing the reverse fixture 1-0.<\/p>\n

Sharks captain Victor Osiche revealed that the players are fired up and are keen to build on their momentum after winning two of their last three matches.<\/p>\n

Both teams have 16 points but Wazalendo have a superior goal difference that make them occupy the seventh position on the log. Sharks are eighth in the 10-team league but a win for them will move them to fourth on 19 points.<\/p>\n

“We have to win at all costs because we know how important this match means for us,” Osiche said.<\/p>\n

“Realistically, we need at least nine points in the remaining five matches. Realistically. We cannot afford to be over-ambitious and we must play without pressure.”<\/p>\n

Osiche added: “Wazalendo are a good side but we are banking on our experience. We have looked at their style of play and we will need to keep our shape. They are a young side with a lot of energy and can run during the entire match.”<\/p>\n

Osiche observed that Greensharks must make their dominance count. “We have controlled matches but ended up as losers, which is very painful. The trend has to change. We outplayed them in the first leg but they were lucky to score from the penalty spot.”<\/p>\n

“We have been depleted in most games but whenever we have played a full-strength side, we have won.”<\/p>\n
