Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS Alfred Mutua on Monday held talks with Ambassadors from Germany, South Korea, China and Kuwait.<\/p>\n

The talks centred on strengthening bilateral ties between Kenya and the aforementioned countries.<\/p>\n

The envoys included Sebastian Groth (German), Yeo Sung-Jun (South Korea), Zhou Pingjan (China) and Qusai Rashed Al Farhan (Kuwait).<\/p>\n

Lauding the ambassadors for continuing to promote relations, Mutua sought to build partnerships that will help the country implement long-term measures to curb food insecurity.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that Germany remained a steadfast partner of Kenya.<\/p>\n

“In my meeting with German Amb Groth, we welcomed the support of the German Government, the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship, and the development of the TVET sector,” he added.<\/p>\n

The former Governor said during his meeting with Sung-Jun, they held discussions on the preparations for a historic visit to Seoul.<\/p>\n

The leaders also hailed the fraternal relations between Kenya and South Korea.<\/p>\n

Mutua acknowledged China’s support in Kenya’s development and welcomed the Republic’s support in dealing with the climate crisis.<\/p>\n

“We sought ways of empowering Kenyans to access the large Chinese market and welcomed China’s support towards getting long-term measures to tackle the impacts of climate change that have led to constant drought,” he said.<\/p>\n

During his meeting with Al Farhan, the CS welcomed more initiatives to promote more trade and tourism arrivals into Kenya.<\/p>\n
