Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kenya Lionesses have been drawn in Pool \u2018A\u2019 of the Dubai Invitational Sevens tournament next month, where they face Tunisia, South Africa Development and France Development.<\/p>\n

Dennis Mwanja\u2019s charges will be using the tournament as preparation for the Olympic qualifiers set for next year in Zambia.<\/p>\n

Kenya will be playing at the event for the first time since 2019, where they lost to the French outfit. Team manager Camilyne Oyuayo said the girls are relishing the challenge of competing in Dubai.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a good opportunity for us to play against quality opposition as we build towards the Olympic qualifiers next year,\u201d said Oyuayo.<\/p>\n

He said the players will be buoyed by the performance during the Challenger series in Chile, where they finished fourth.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know the quality we have in this team and we are going to be very competitive in Dubai,\u201d said Oyuayo.<\/p>\n

The final 12-woman team will be named next week.<\/p>\n
