Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto first order of business during Cabinet meetings is prayer, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has revealed.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said Ruto had made it mandatory for Cabinet meetings to start with a word of prayer.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery sitting of Cabinet, the first order of business is prayer. The person who leads the prayers is non-other than the chair of the Cabinet who is the President,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi made the revelation on Sunday during a church service at Faith Evangelistic Ministry in Karen, Nairobi. Ruto was among faithful at the church service.<\/p>\n

The Prime Cabinet Secretary, while pleading with the President to let out the secret, said Ruto always stresses on the importance of prayer before embarking any undertaking.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important that every session starts with a prayer. The President is very clear that without guidance of the Lord, we cannot succeed,\u201d Mudavadi added.<\/p>\n

When he stood to speak, Ruto recalled that he ran short of time on the last rally in Kirigiti in Kiambu and decided the only thing he could do is pray.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was 5.30pm and campaigns were closing at 6 pm. We were still supposed to rush to Kiambu for the final rally because all indication were that we were going to lose area seat\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI literally ran to the chopper and when we arrived, we had just about 18 minutes. After delivering a short message, I prayed and you know we won that seat. Prayer works,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
