Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Grace Bwire was the hero as Strathmore Scorpions beat Spartans 4-2 in a Women\u2019s Premier League match at the City Park Stadium on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The former Blazers striker opened her account in the seventh minute. The 21-year-old doubled the tally in the 25 minute before making it a hattrick nine minutes later. She completed the route in the 49th minute to condemn Willis Okeyo’s side to their heaviest loss of the season.<\/p>\n

Beatrice Mbugua and Pauline Kariuki scored the consolation goals for Spartans. Spartans are in a five-match winless streak since returning to action last month. Scorpions are unbeaten, drawing just once against Blazers and are on course to a maiden league title.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Lakers played out to a goalless draw against record champions Blazers in Kisumu.<\/p>\n

In the men’s league, Sailors beat hard-fighting Mombasa Sports Club 3-2 in a closely-fought match. Johnstone Indiazi and Abraham Musee gave Sailors a 2-0 lead after scoring in the 13th and 35th minute respectively.<\/p>\n

Teddy Odada and Marvin Barasa scored for MSC to make it 2-2 before Shadrack Oronjo poked home the winner in the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

In the men’s Super League, table-toppers Kenya College of Accountancy University shared spoils in their 0-0 drab draw with Multimedia University in a varsity derby.<\/p>\n

Clementine Nyongesa’s 49th minute field goal was all the University of Nairobi ladies team needed to scalp Mombasa Sports Club in the Women\u2019s Super League match.<\/p>\n

In the men’s National League, Kisii Falcons edged out Kitale 1-0 courtesy of Leonard Leakey’s 34th minute strike.<\/p>\n
