Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Champions Nairobi Water Queens clobbered Daystar University 53-5 in a Kenya Handball Federation league encounter at the Kaloleni grounds on Sunday. The winners, who are warming up for the defence of their East and Central Africa Club Championships title in Zanzibar from December 4, led 27-3 at the break.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are on the right path. Our training is going on well,\u201d said coach Jack Ochieng. \u201cI noticed we are slow in our attacks. My target was to score in every minute, hit at least 30 goals half. We fell short of that and this is what we are going to work on going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Black Mamba opened the days\u2019 campaign with an easy 37-22 win over Rangers. They led 18-14 at half time. Morgan Juma scored eight and Paul Ondara added six. Abel Kemei and Jimmy Werani had four a-piece.<\/p>\n

Technical University of Kenya (Tuk) dismissed University of Eldoret (UoE) Pippers 36-19 in another game. Gideon Baraza nailed nine goals and Paul Kakai had eight for TUK. UoE had 10 from Kevin Kibet.<\/p>\n

In other games, Rangers crushed 48-20 to champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB). \u201cEverything is going well and our preparations are good,\u201d said NCPB coach Dan Eshikumo, whose charges remain unbeaten in 15 matches.<\/p>\n

Rangers also fell 32-29 to Buccanners, who had eight goals from Randy Ochieng as Radzi Stower added seven. UoE went down 29-25 to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Dolan Bwibo scored 11 goals while Daniel Ombasa replied with nine.<\/p>\n

Thika\u2019s Neslon Wanjala broke UoE hearts when he sunk his teams eight goals while \u2018Pippers\u2019 Ombasa had 13. In the ladies\u2019 division, Net beat Rising Star 39-22. Elizabeth Alungat scored 11 goals and Sharon Akoth made nine for the winners. In their second game, Nets had 14 goals from Alungat and nine from Akoth as they torched New Hope 40-15.<\/p>\n
