Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Trail Blazers opposite player Moses Sialo believes his move to Iraq will help rekindle his career after signing a six-month deal with Erbil Club Kurdistan.<\/p>\n

The towering player ended mounting speculation by heading to Asia and will play in Iraq’s top tier. Sialo was named the best attacker during the 2017 playoffs while playing for Cooperative Bank.<\/p>\n

“The training is okay and I am getting along with the rest of my teammates. It’s a step forward for me to realise this dream because every player aspires to turn pro.”<\/p>\n

The journeyman, who had stints with Equity Bank in 2018 before moving to Rwanda Energy Group in October of the same year, is already hard at work. “My future ambition is to keep working hard and enjoying my game. Hopefully, this is one of the many opportunities to come.”<\/p>\n

Sialo helped Trail Blazers finish third in their maiden league appearance last season. He becomes the fourth experienced player to quit Blazers after the trio of Dominic Chelule, Philip Toll and Derrick Apat savoured ties with the Geoffrey Omondi-coached side.<\/p>\n

” I really want to thank my teammates, technical staff and the coaches for their commitment and for taking care of the players’ welfare. They are such an inspiration to me and I wish I could get the best phrase to show my gratitude to Trailblazers.”<\/p>\n

Omondi, who was one of the players to be dumped by Equity prior to joining Blazers, expects Blazers to continue with their ascendancy despite the transition.<\/p>\n

“I wish them (Blazers) well in the season ahead. They have lost some key players but I believe in the remaining lot because they are equal to the task. “I have learned a lot playing volleyball. Like any other sport, it unites people and I am happy to be part of the family,” he said.<\/p>\n
