Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Charlene Ruto has clapped back at her critics who have questioned her unofficial political errands in and outside the country.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s second-born daughter has been moving around engaging in political activities including visiting county assemblies, holding meetings with governors and even flying out to Morocco on an unofficial state visit.<\/p>\n

A week ago, she was in Kisumu for a tree planting initiative.<\/p>\n

Her undefined escapades have since earned her the nickname \u2018Quickmart Ivanka.\u2019<\/p>\n

Those behind the tag drew parallels between her and former US President Donald Trump\u2019s daughter Ivanka Trump who traversed the country during her father\u2019s reign, working, but without a defined official role.<\/p>\n

Charlene, however, appeared unperturbed by the backlash she has received online, more so in relation to the nickname.<\/p>\n

On Monday evening, she went shopping at a Quickmart retail store and in an apparent mockery at her critics, posted a photo with a cheeky caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cFresh and easy does it? We move regardless. Where are we popping next?” she asked and added a laugh emoji.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Charlene was trending at number one on Twitter as people questioned in what capacity she was engaging in political affairs.<\/p>\n

However, through her official Twitter handle, Charlene seemingly explained her role in government with the hashtag #AchievingThePlan.<\/p>\n

The Kenya Kwanza manifesto on whose strength her father rode to win the presidency is dubbed The Plan.<\/p>\n
